A Simple Casa Codina by A4estudio

This simple structured modern home is a home which combines the essence of green, climate and the shape of geometry. The house built on flat land of 1500 square meters in an emerging residential area at the city of Mendoza, Argentina. It’s a country with such climatic amplitudes providing with breeze during the night and blazing hot during the day.

To outsmart this amplitudes of climatic change the house always run in relation to an intimate central courtyard, which gives a view toward a large garden to give a more soothing sight. The opening main space will give a great runaway for the hot air during the blazing day.

Although there is a wall emerging from the central courtyard in order to protect solar radiation from the west, I think this was dull to build such a wall as this simple modern concrete house doesn’t allow much sun light for the people living on it. Instead of blocking the radiation which can cause harm to human, the architect should also thing how to provide sufficient lighting towards some part of the area so that less electricity will be used. Although it will be cool during the hot day, such sunroof will bring a great idea for this house as it will bring more light.

I find this simple minimalist concept interior house very interesting as none of the wall was painted nor given wallpapers, maintaining its natural concrete slab, leaving it cool for the rest of the day. Still though, the one that can really judge a home living is the people living inside of it, because each of us are made different, thus different taste, different ideas, opinions, personality and different cultures.
