We already knew that the office lobby provides the first impression for business as it is typically the first part of the company a visitor or potential client will see. In the latest trend of designing lobby in public space is create focal point that inviting everyone and create more comfortable atmosphere. It is shown in the simply phenomenal collaboration project between Francis Cauffman Architects with a custom manufacturer of framed structures-Eventscape in the lobby of the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Peterson New Jersey by installing totally great globe installation. Great concept with well executed.

The architect knew that the client of the hospital are person that wait in worry. To help relax patients and clients, the architect use soft, neutral colors that inspire calm and tranquility such blue and green that associated with nature and can connect the client with a sense of balance. In fact, green is a harmonizing and balancing color for those in need of refreshment. Blue, also closely associated with nature and tranquility is also a popular and helpful choice.

The advanced design of the lobby symbolizes the advanced care the hospital offers. Eventscape engineered, fabricated and installed the large 30 x 30 ft. media wall. Composed of acrylic cubes set at various depths with interior LED lights, they are programmed with a variety of colors and patterns. The 20 ft. diameter globe light feature is composed of 860 individual 6 inch square acrylic cubes. Originally designed as a fabric covered frame, the architects approached Eventscape to design an alternate solution. Each colored cube is precisely placed to create a giant glowing globe, complete with all continents and polar caps.
