The House is a holiday home tri-family located in the Laguna de Aculeo, Rangue sector, located at the north end of the lake at the foot of Cantillana Heights, aptly in Chile. Designed by BSZ Architect, this building is characterized by the relationship between cohabitation and privacy typical of three independent groups of relatives: parents and two of his children and grandchildren. The lot has through its views, and opening a clear link to its immediate surroundings hills. The building consists of three independent private cells of opaque on three sides that share the same common volume. Everyone turned to each other and separated by small courtyards. Each volume private account open with a swing deck which expands and closes alternately within each body independently. The common body, in turn, is defined by the correspondence between the terrace and the roof, framing horizontally more distant views.
The home construction has been built using Radiata pine impregnated with steel in the structural part. These unique villa design exterior finish was treated with the same tongue and groove pine boards but 3 / 4 “x 4 3 / 4″ x 8 carbonileo impregnated, worked horizontally and vertically, in order to be able to achieve with the frames, an identity in different volumes. The interior wood work done naturally where it’s finished by using colorless polyurethane varnish finish with the aim of providing a warm contrast with the coldness of the stone slate floor work.
