Pro and Contra In Having Open Floor Plan

r plan.

1.) How clean and tidy can you keep your home: The pros would probably say that having an open floor plan is visually pleasing towards the living space either in décor and aesthetics, which is unlike the old traditional floor plan which doesn’t give and allow flows between each room. But alas alack, if your family can’t organize things very well then your home will look like a wreck battle ship. In open floor plan you need to have things clean and tidy, therefore a good house management is 100% needed.

2.) How many accessories you want to hang and show: Believe it or not, accessories can sometimes be the items that can brighten up your interior design and if you like to show your painting collection or other ornaments, then you just don’t hope to have an open floor plan. Why is that so? Open floor plan has limited wall which divide between each room unlike what you have in closed floor plan. This means that less wall to hang your items. You can still hang a few but only one that really has a place in your heart.

3.) Children factor: Open floor plans is friendly for you to do your housekeeping and watch children play around. Through open floor concept you can watch and monitor what your children is doing. This way you can always prepare your diner, or breakfast, while at the same time you can also keep an eye to your kids. This won’t happen if you have a close floor plan as I’m sure you won’t be able to do multi tasking job like that I mention just then.

4.) Noise: Noise also a big factor for those who just love serenity, and love their surround system or mini home entertainment. Open floor plans allows noise to travel from one room to another, because remember that your room isn’t divided between walls anymore. Having an open floor plan won’t be great especially if you’re living in a crowded neighborhood. You can always see that a good open floor plan house always chooses a serene place, out from the crowd.

5.) Flood your home with natural light: One thing worthy to mention is that by using open floor plan you can bring more sun warmth towards your house. Natural lights can go inside the house easily since in open floor concept you will have floor to ceiling windows and the walls are reduced allowing sun light to travel further deep into your house. This also means that during day time less electricity for lighting is used.

6.)Socializing: if you’re the kind of guy or lady who just love bringing your friends home and throw up few gatherings over your house then an open floor plan is right for you as it will provide you with large space.

7.) The kitchen: The kitchen is a big factor if you love to show off your delicious recipes to your friends. If you love to invite them in cooking and entertain them a little without getting dirty then the open floor concept is just exactly what you need. But if you’re not such a show off and entertainer then choose your close floor concept as you can mingle and fiddle around without anyone having to disturb you and worried getting dirty.

Overall, open home floor plans have a nice visual layout and feel, it brings more space but towards other aspects you need to watch and think it through. So we decide that dear reader’s it depends on you to choose whether you need to have an open floor concept or a close one.
