Georgina Carolina Verbaan (born October 9, 1979 in The Hague) is a Dutch actress and singer.
After joining the musical Harlekijn in 1988, Verbaan decided to become an actress. In 1991 she applied for a four year study at the theatre school called Rabarber.

Verbaan became a national celebrity in 1997 at the age of 16 years, when she got the role of "Hedwig Harmsen" in Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden. She was one of the most popular stars of the soap opera in her time. For her portrayal, she was nominated at the Dutch version of the Emmy awards in 1998 for Best Actress in a Soap opera.

Verbaan left the show in 2000 to expand her career as an actress. She appeared in the Dutch movie Costa! in 2001. The movie was a domestic box-office hit, attracting more than 200,000 visitors and achieving platinum status. [1]. In addition to singing the movie's theme song, Verbaan also sang her own song; Ritmo.

After a cameo in her first international movie Soul Assassin (2001), she appeared in her next Dutch movie Volle maan (2002). Unfortunately it flopped. In 2003, Verbaan played the main character in the international movie Adrenaline.

In November 2004, Verbaan appeared on the cover of the Dutch issue of Playboy magazine. Soon, a lot of rumors came up about the question whether Verbaan's breasts were real. Verbaan denied the rumors and eventually had an mammogram made to prove it. [2] [3]

For her role in the 2005 B-movie Joyride, Verbaan received a Gouden Ui, a Dutch award handed out for the worst performances.

In 2006, Verbaan represented the Party for the Animals at the Dutch general election, 2006.

Verbaan is today one of the most well-known actresses in the Netherlands. She made appearances in several movies and shows. After having guest starred in the successful show Lotte and being a candidate on Ranking the Stars, she starred in 't Schaep Met De 5 Pooten. She sang several songs for the series.

In 2009 she received raving reviews for her role in Dazzle (Oogverblindend), directed by avantgarde filmmaker Cyrus Frisch. The film was praised in Dutch press as "the most relevant Dutch film of the year".
